Optical backbone and metro transmission systems

Optical backbone represents multi-wavelength multiplexing (DWDM) technology enabling the transmission of optical streams of fixed speeds rates (10Gbps, 40Gbps, 100Gbps and 400Gbps) over short (Metro), medium, long (LH) and ultra long (ULH) distances, supporting different types of traffic (Internet, TV, mobile traffic), for provider and corporate users.

Our company offers customers so-called High speed 25GB/s, 100GB/s, 400GB/s and 1.6Tb/s “transponder/muxponder” solutions that allow much more traffic to be carried within a single wave/channel than other standard multiplexing transmission systems. In addition, there are more resources in terms of reservation, which is quite important for the reliability of global Internet and transit traffic.

Optical backbone and metro transmission systems are:

  • Backbone and city DWDM systems
  • Mobile backhaul, Fronthaul and L1 Encryption systems
  • Passive DWDM systems
  • P-OTN/ROADM Switching systems
